Authentic innovation meets true Harley-Davidson soul. Basically a skinny Fat Boy but more “chill” with low seat and floorboards for a relaxed riding position. Low. Slick. Smooth. Comfortable. Powerful. Softail Slim was the bike Captain America was seen riding in the 2014 Marvel flick Captain America: Winter Soldier.The 2018 Harley-Davidson improved upon the previous models. While always known for great looks and gentle handling, the improved suspension and comfort characteristics make it a stand out among Softails.Milwaukee-Eight motor with claimed 110ft/lbs of torque at a low 3000 rpm. 26-inch seat height, floorboards, and swept flat bars make this bike incredibly accommodating to many riders. Tuck-and-roll seat cradles the rider with relatively plush padding. Hollywood handlebars complete the authentic bobber-style done the way only Harley-Davidson can. Dual bending Valve fork with cartridge style internals and single-shock adjustable rear suspension, make the Slim a smooth and predictable ride, keeping everything in line. 64.2-inch wheel base and 30 degrees of rake with good lean angles make the Softail a gentle giant; agile and nimble, cornering friendly, but with plenty of stability. Curb weight is a stout 671 pounds. Bike halts commendably with just one disc per wheel. Feel at the lever is progressive and predictable, lacking any shocking bite, making either brake quite easy to modulate at any speed. LED headlamp in traditionally styled housing. A powerful, agile, and responsive cruiser with a light and stiff frame, high performance suspension with smooth, unrelenting torque. The bike up for auction has never been on the road but for factory testing. Bike has been customized with a leather swing arm bag, thicker padded fully detachable passenger seat with sissy bar, chrome foot pegs, and custom emblem. Seller can provide the original parts that were upgraded. While discontinued in 2021, there are many riders who disagree with Harley’s decision and believe the Softail Slim is among the great bikes that need to make a comeback. The chances of finding this simple, strong, and lean bike are poor. With only 4 odometer miles, this immaculate bike is a one of a kind. Float charged, started intermittently.
