A very well maintained and upgraded, non ABS, 2009 FZ1 with 53,700 miles on the clock. 2 previous owners. Current owner bought bike with 15,000 miles on the clock.
Recent sprocket and chain change ( 48,400 mi). Sprocket ratio now 16/46 ( original OEM 17/45). See Gearing Commander website for data. Speed healer fitted to correct speeds and mileages. All valve clerances reset to factory tolerances after a full and complete valve shim…
A very well maintained and upgraded, non ABS, 2009 FZ1 with 53,700 miles on the clock. 2 previous owners. Current owner bought bike with 15,000 miles on the clock.
Recent sprocket and chain change ( 48,400 mi). Sprocket ratio now 16/46 ( original OEM 17/45). See Gearing Commander website for data. Speed healer fitted to correct speeds and mileages. All valve clerances reset to factory tolerances after a full and complete valve shim change at 37,150 miles. Fuel pump petrol filter replaced at 39,000 mi. Alternator generator rotor upgraded at 36,000 mi. New cam chain tensioner fitted at 49,000 miles. Rear tyre 195/55/17 (OEM 190/55/17) for improved handling. Both tyres ( Michelin Road 6) good for a further 2000 miles plus. Bike handles superbly. Recent mechanical work such as sprocket and chain changes, rear suspension bushes replaced, new clutch cable, carried out by local,() excellent bike workshop-can give phone number to check validity.
All other maintenance e.g. oil & oil filter (51,000 mi) , air filter (50,700 mi), spark plugs ( CREIX9 iridiums at 51,000 mi), coolant changes ( 41,000 mi), front fork oil (in 2023), brake cleaning and brake pad replacements carried out by current owner.
Engine tuned and dynoed in 2022 by Road & Race Performance, Meriden to correct air/fuel ratios at all revs (now in the range 12.5-13.5) for engine longevity and cooler running) and a much improved throttle response as a result. Dyno graphs available. Bike also comes with a rear rack, heated grips, adjustable levers, crash bungs, main stand & Hel brake lines. MOT valid until 11/08/2026. Bike currently taxed and insured.
Paintwork good given age of bike although minor chips on mirror stems and marks on fairing & rear grab rails.
Never ridden on track.
