This bike has not run in my ownersship. It really needs to be taken apart and rebuilt in my opinion. This was my intention when I got the bike over 10 years ago but time has gone by and I realize I am not going to get around to restoring this bike.
It represents a good opportunity to get into ELR ownership without spending a lot of money, if you know what you are doing and can work on these bikes
I checked that the motor still turns using a wrench on the end of the crank, and it does.
Mostly all there, but missing a few parts as can be seen.
Some wiring is disconnected and looks like it needs attention.
Lots of photos to see the less-than-beautiful condition.
Paint on the frame is poor and areas of the bike have been rattle-canned flat black
Gas tank has sender unit and fuel tap and is clean inside
Best to assume that everything needs going through
The side cover emblems were missing and I had a pair of 1100R ones. It should of course have 1000R emblems
Clear Title but the Utah license plate is just a novelty item
This is a no reserve auction so the highest bidder will be the new owner.
There is no Buy-it-Now option. Please bid what you would be willing to pay and perhaps you will win it for less than that
Please do not even think of bidding if you are not going to be willing and able to pay for the bike at the auction’s end. Similarly, if you need somebody else’s agreement to buy this bike please get that sorted before bidding, not after you have won!
If you are new to or have no feedback please contact me before bidding
Full payment is required within 7 days after the auction ends. Multiple payment options including payments, bank transfer, PayPal – contact me to discuss any other methods
If you need time to arrange collection I am happy to store the bike inside for however long that takes provided I have been fully paid
The bike is in Concord, California which is 25 miles east of San Francisco. It is at a commercial location with plenty of room for even the biggest trucks.
If the winning bidder needs the bike delivering to a shipping company in the Bay Area I can arrange this at low cost
I have been on for over 25 years.
If anyone has any questions please ask and I will try to respond promptly
On Mar-01-24 at 13:04:06 PST, seller added the following information:I have received a question about this subject. It may be difficult to see that there is some fin damage on the right side of the engine. There is no option for me to add another picture as I am up against the 20 Max and cannot remove an image either to make room for a new one. If anyone wants me to send them a close-up picture just message me.
