I inherited the bike many years ago from my brother, which he bought new in Boulder CO. In 2007 I had valve work completed, totally serviced, new tires, etc. and rode it from Grand Junction CO over Loveland Pass in Summit Co CO, mostly on secondary roads trying to stay off the interstate whenever possible. She ran like a dream, as to be expected. I had a brand new 1974 850 Commando while I lived in Scotland, so I am a very experienced rider when it comes to Norton. Unfortunately, the bike has not been ridden since then. It has been stored inside and covered all it’s life.
Long story short, it will require the front master break, new tires and a battery. Of course, fuel lines (I could not see any rust on the tank cover or in the tank) a complete fluid service and a little TLC. The seat rack is missing. Baxter Cycles has everything in stock. Other items/parts maybe required, but I am not a mechanic and only trying to be fully transparent about the things that are needed as far as I know.
This is a project bike that is not running. It needs to go to a good home, one that loves Snortin Nortons!!!
I will be available to assist with any questions as best as I can.
Good luck and have fun bidding…Thanks…
