They think of an old bike being rolled into a barn and resting there for 50 years then rolling out in the same condition it was stored. This is not reality. Heat, cold, rain, snow, years going by damage the bike. I am very fortunate. I have owned five knucklehead that were stored in barns, garages, sheds, back yards. All five bikes needed a lot of work to make them usable again. On Mar-13-24 at 06:13:27 PDT, seller added the following information:Some comments about the bike – The bike had a hard life in the barn. It needed a lot of work to make it usable again. I rode the bike 1600 miles over 2.5 years. Every other week something needed attention or repair. The bike is not reliable like a modern motorcycle. Most of the original parts survive, a few do not. I have owned five knuckleheads and cannot remember what parts were replaced on each bike. The tail light was replaced, someone asked about it, I went to check on it. If you are fortunate to be the new owner and find some part was replaced that is because it did not survive the barn. Mike Wolfe heard about the bike from a friend after I got it and was dissappointed. I am posting these comments in response to the questions I have received, a dose of reality. It is a lot of fun to ride. Send any questions you have, I will respond.
